Save-A-Lot Sends Charlotte Another Warm Hello!

C.C. Picks Up the Coolest “Good Buy”!

I had the pleasure of taking part in the celebration of a new Save-A-Lot Grocery Store! The Grand Opening was  Thursday, March 4, 2010. It was a perfect day filled with fun, festivities and food on Freedom Drive!   Charlotte’s Mayor Anthony Foxx was on hand to celebrate and do a little shopping of his own, alongside other community leaders turned grocery-shopping enthusiasts.

The North Carolina Secretary of Commerce, J. Keith Crisco was on hand to pick up an item or two as well. I was contacted, as well as other blog-writing, “pen-dipping Divas” by Matrixx with an invitation to attend the grand opening for Charlotte’s newest Save-A-Lot. Our hostess was Laura Glaser, who  flew all the way from Santa Monica, CA. We blog-writing women of the hour, later lunched together and discussed the events of the day. I have taken it upon myself to incorporate more fruits and vegetables in my diet and needless to say it is paying off. I am better able to save money, plan the week’s meals and believe it or not, it is really more cost effective to purchase  groceries rather than purchasing fast food.

Also, I am seeing better health, and wellness…  but hey… please understand… if there is a sale on chocolate chip cookie dough… the organic spinach salad is sidelined…. well, for awhile at least…but enough about me… Save-A-Lot had a wonderful and open grocery store with complete and fast access to groceries. Produce welcomed me and boxes of the freshest cereals and cake mixes  were conveniently located and plentiful. So with an enviornment such as that, I think grocery shopping can be a wonderful experience… rather than a chore… right? I mean it is all in perspective.

And with a name like Save-A-Lot you would expect to… well save alot, right? I think they are making really good use of the name… there are several items in the store that cost only a dollar and overall prices seem to be… well nice and low…I am not due for another grocery shopping excursion until next week… so I am looking forward to well… shopping  and saving alot… so perhaps you will visit Save-A-Lot’s newest location on Freedom Drive, 3033, to be exact… and share with me… well what you saved!
